Honoring President Hinckley

I can't explain the sad feeling when my mom told me that Pres. Hinckley had passed on to the next life, but I do believe you all know how I felt. I will always remember Pres. Hinckley as the great man and leader that he was to all of us. I will never forget the feeling of sitting in the Endowment room of the Monticello Temple as a young girl, when it was being dedicated and seeing Pres. Hinckley peek his head in the door and wave to us. I know that Pres. Hinckley was a true prophet of God. I also know that we are still in good hands and we don't have to worry about what will happen to the church and I am very grateful for that. Thank you President Gordon B. Hinckley for your service and dedication to the whole world. We will miss you being here with us.

Smiles!!

Here are the pictures of his cute little smile. We are glad that Chase can't talk to tell all the ridiculous things Daniel and I will do to get a smile.

It happened!

Yesterday is the day that I have been looking forward to for the whole six weeks of Chase's life. He smiled at me! He has been smiling for a couple weeks now but they have been few and mostly at random things like the pictures on the wall, or just the plain ole' ceiling, but yesterday he smiled at me. It was one smile after another after another. I havn't been able to steal a picture yet, but one is soon to come when I can capture his beautiful toothless grin on film!

Family Pictures

Here are some of the family pictures we had taken over Christmas. Thanks you so much Michelle. We think they turned out great!

Christmas fun

Christmas was more fun than I could imagine with Chase. We took a nice long break and spent some time in Moab, Lyman, and even a day in Emery county. We visited Moab first and had a blast with our Christmas traditions. Everyone was home except Brennan (on a mission in France) and we got to talk to him.

Chase got some cute cloths, Christmas pajamas, and some very cute letters that spell his name to decorate his room with. I will post pictures when I get them set up.

Daniel got a lot of tools that he is soo excited about trying out at the first chance he gets, and I got some digital scrapbooking software that I am having so much fun with. Thanks Mom and Dad for the fun time and the gifts- It was hard to leave.
Santa in Lyman brought Chase the only thing he could guess that Chase would want- a wet wipe warmer- which Chase seems to just love (he doesn't have to squirm and cry at diaper changes anymore. ) We got to spend some time with Alynn and her kids in Lyman. Daniel spent some time helping his dad with the downstairs remodeling project (which he just loves to do!), and I got to play with Chase. Thanks to Daniel's parents for the Christmas gift, good food and spoiling Chase to death! We appreciated having some breaks to rest and go visiting some of Daniels old friends.

It is hard to believe that Christmas is over, but I guess it is time to get going with 2008. This will be a big year for us since Daniel will finally graduate!!! Hope you all had a great Christmas and a great New Year!

Oh by the way- Polly chopped off a good portion of my hair. What do you think?
