Torgerson reunion

Daniel's family had an end of the summer reunion a couple weeks ago. We also celebrated the birth of this great man. This is the man that my husband admires the most, who taught Daniel all he knows about being a great dad, and the man that Daniel strives to be like.He will have a milestone birthday this year, but would kill me if I told you which one :) . I have heard about the family get together's at fish lake for our whole marriage and I finally got to go to one. We had good food and good company, and all with this beautiful scenery.

This is an old man hat one of Daniel's sisters made for him. It came with a whistle to blow in case he needed help. I wish I could remember all the funny old man things that were attached to the hat.

All the Grandkids helping Grandpa blow out the candles, and dipping a few fingers into the frosting in the meantime.

I was recruited to take pictures of each family individually and a big group picture- let's just say I didn't do as well as I hoped.

This is our family that someone snapped for us.

A card exchange

What a great idea. Our new ward holds a card exchange group as on of the enrichment groups. They meet every other month, pick a theme for next time and you bring enough of the same (or different if you want) card of that theme and EXCHANGE. So I made 11 of the same wedding card (so much easier than making 11 different) and traded it for 11 different.

Next month is Male birthday cards.

More Lyman fun

It's been a pretty crazy summer. We have been away from home for WAY more weekends than we have been at home.

This was last weekend in Lyman.

Grandpa T. got a horse.
..and we rode it and rode it.
Chase and his cousin 1 month older reading books together.

One of my favorite thing about going to Lyman is that I get to see what the farming life is like. My new experience this time was with picking potatoes.
and then eating our fresh labors.
Chase didn't like picking potatoes because he kept tripping over the plants- so he found his own little way to help.
These boys love Papa T.

and here is part of the reason. Papa T. gives lots of rides.

Then theirs always Grandpa's gym. We took turns pulling each other around on the scooters and when Daniel got too tired to pull Teresa, Chase took the reins.
Recently I have been asked to do some pictures for people- believe me, I wonder what they are thinking as well, but of course I love doing it. I asked Daniel to help me practice using a reflector and this is how it went.

This is after I took the pictures for Daniel's sister. She offered to snap one of us in this lady's backyard. Her backyard was a beautiful forest. But you should have seen the secret room in her house hidden behind a bookshelf. What a fun place to grow up.

And for those who want to know... I didn't end up winning a spot in the workshop. Personally I think I was cheated out of the spot, but that's probably just the sore loser speaking. I really appreciate those who helped.

Somedays I feel like I married super man.

Thanks babe- for the break from my crazy crazy day last night, even after a long day of work yourself.
