Bringing 80's back...

Maybe I should have made the experimental braids I slept on,  a little bigger. :)

You might be a Torgerson if...

Daniel challenged me to make a list called "You might be a Torgerson if :".  It wasn't very hard.

If you use terms like "Lallygagging", "fiddle-fart", patch-hella mile, and "cats-fur to make you some kitten britches".  (I still don't know what some of these mean!)

If you hate "red spaghetti" (again, I don't get it), and your hamburger has to be black to be considered cooked, you might be a Torgerson.

If you cut the ends off the cucumbers and then rub them ON the cucumber before slicing it, and when asked to slice olives you take a knife to the can, you might be a Torgerson.

If your ice cream scoop is a large Chef's kife, and your potato peeler is called a carrot peeler and strictly NOT used on potatoes, you might be a Torgerson.

If you feel lazy and can't function unless you have a full time job, 3 part times jobs, many new inventions and business ideas, and are also either in school or considering going back to school on the side, you might be a Torgerson.

If the room temperature at your house is 92*, you might be a Torgerson.

I'm sure more will come to me in time, these are all just off the top of my head.

There was a time in my life where I was all about Pampered Chef.  I wanted one of everything Pampered Chef, including their really cool ice cream scoop that warms up the by your hand gripping the handle.  When I mentioned this to Daniel I was told in no uncertain terms that "Torgerson don't use ice cream scoops."

True to his word this is how ice cream is dished up at the Torgersons.

Chase wanted to help dad scoop ice cream and although you can't tell by the picture below he grabbed a butter knife and started digging.

No glamorous kitchen gadgets for me, but at least I always have a volunteer to scoop the ice cream!

Nothing like talking on the phone naked!

We've been wanting to build a sandbox for a while and Brody's birthday was a good excuse.

It was really hard to dig up the grass.  I don't know why, our grass isn't really all that great anyways.  Once we finally got started it got a little easier.

After no time at all, they got to enjoy all their hard work.

And since the sand was actually mud, this is how we cleaned up :)

Missionaries

After a little discussion with Chase about how you don't get to pick where you go on your mission, we got him talking about where he thought Heavenly Father might want him to go someday.

"I think probably Alontros (sounds similiar to cilantro and refers to Cafe Rio.)"
We further encouraged by telling him that usually missionaries are called to go far away from their homes.  We asked where somewhere far away was.
"Oh!  I know!  It must be at the Target store because that's far away.  Right?"
