Shopping with kids

Today I found out what it would be like to have auto drive on a shopping cart.

It was pretty nice, but needs some work on breaks and steering.  (A little less crashing into shelves would be nice.)

Electrical monster

I've introduced him before, but this is the home of one the electrical monsters.  If you listen closely outside his house you will hear the soft buzzing of his snoring.  And if you wake him up....  well, let's just say you might look like the guy in the picture behind Chase.

Chase

Chase is still Mr. Curious.  I have to answer the same handful of questions everyday along with a million new ones.  He has me getting on google more often to find answers for him.  I just can't believe the things he can think of.  I should be able to answer any question his 4 year old brain can think of, but that's just not the case.

He is a good big brother.  He and Brody don't always get along, but they get along REALLY well when Chase wants to.  Chase loves to help Brody when he can like getting drinks and getting off the slide.
He started off hesitant going to preschool this year when it wasn't at our house (we did a joy school type thing) but ended up LOVING it.  He asks everyday if it is a preschool day and can't wait to get back to all of his friends there.

He still loves all things motorcycles.  He identifies colors by the brand of motorcycle associated. (For example if your coat is red, you have a honda coat; orange- KTM etc.  That's also why his coat is orange KTM= best!)

He likes to pretend he is a Wild Krat.  He dresses up with short, tennis shoes and socks pulled up as far as they will go.  Then he goes on "creature adventures."

Bringing 80's back...

Maybe I should have made the experimental braids I slept on,  a little bigger. :)

You might be a Torgerson if...

Daniel challenged me to make a list called "You might be a Torgerson if :".  It wasn't very hard.

If you use terms like "Lallygagging", "fiddle-fart", patch-hella mile, and "cats-fur to make you some kitten britches".  (I still don't know what some of these mean!)

If you hate "red spaghetti" (again, I don't get it), and your hamburger has to be black to be considered cooked, you might be a Torgerson.

If you cut the ends off the cucumbers and then rub them ON the cucumber before slicing it, and when asked to slice olives you take a knife to the can, you might be a Torgerson.

If your ice cream scoop is a large Chef's kife, and your potato peeler is called a carrot peeler and strictly NOT used on potatoes, you might be a Torgerson.

If you feel lazy and can't function unless you have a full time job, 3 part times jobs, many new inventions and business ideas, and are also either in school or considering going back to school on the side, you might be a Torgerson.

If the room temperature at your house is 92*, you might be a Torgerson.

I'm sure more will come to me in time, these are all just off the top of my head.

There was a time in my life where I was all about Pampered Chef.  I wanted one of everything Pampered Chef, including their really cool ice cream scoop that warms up the by your hand gripping the handle.  When I mentioned this to Daniel I was told in no uncertain terms that "Torgerson don't use ice cream scoops."

True to his word this is how ice cream is dished up at the Torgersons.

Chase wanted to help dad scoop ice cream and although you can't tell by the picture below he grabbed a butter knife and started digging.

No glamorous kitchen gadgets for me, but at least I always have a volunteer to scoop the ice cream!
