I wanted to learn to can so last weekend we went to Moab to learn. It wasn't as bad as all the stories I've heard, maybe we just didn't can enough. :) We also made three large cookie sheets worth of fruit leather (and it's already halfway gone), and some jam that didn't set up, but we had a lot of fun anyways.

Ummmm, those peaches look sooo good! And the runny jam? It isn't jam at all, it's syrup. Perfect consistency and so yummy for breakfast.
I'm jealous. I don't really enjoy canning much, but I do love the products of it!
I love canning, and you can't beat yummy peaches in the middle of winter. I have a really easy recipe for peach cobbler that you use your canned peaches I can get it to you if you want.
I'm very jealous will your mom teach me how to can too??
Way to go guys!! I like that Daniel was helping too. I don't ever remember him helping with canning the peaches when we grew up -- I guess every dog has his day, right?! Looks like some yummy stuff. I have to say I miss Utah peaches -- the peaches out here don't even compare; it must be all the sandy soil we live on.
Looks absolutely YUMMY! Seeing that pic of your mom's kitchen evokes SO many memories of making cookies! Kim, you're as beautiful as ever!
