I'm trying to play catch up before the baby comes, so watch for several new posts over the next couple of days. Just a warning: taking pictures (and especially ones I like) obviously isn't a priority for me right now, and I'm not in the mood to edit.
Chase's new bed:
I thought the story was best told by my dad so here's his side of it:
"A new chapter in the life of Brennan's lion bed. Built in 1990 for Brennan who was about to have to give his crib to Baby Drew. But the bed was relegated to storage when on their first night together he "growled" at Brennan. No amount of persuasion could convince the bed's new owner to give another chance, and fear prevailed. And a very frustrated dad dismantled the bed and eventually forgot the whole sad story.
Fast forward to 2010, when Jramma saw a chance to employ her considerable persuasive powers to resurrect lion so that he could redeem himself. But paint had peeled, slivers had grown, so sanding and painting was called for, and Pappa reluctantly dug out the pieces from behind and under absolutely everything.
And when the required two whole days were at an end, Chase renamed lion "Baby Simba" and climbed in and went to sleep. And this time, no growls were heard and everybody lived happily ever after, even Pappa."
This made transitioning for the crib to a bed so much easier. We tried converting his crib several months ago, and ended up putting the crib back together after just a couple of horrible nights. Baby Simba makes sleeping in a bed SO much more fun.

Ahhh, I knew Dad made that bed for someone really special . . .
BTW ~ is Dad going to have to come up there and fill in those nail holes and put the toy box lid on :) He will, you know!
I'm still looking for that part that disappeared. Maybe I'll have to call you and get the name of it and get a new one...
Looks like the curse is broken! You know, there was a part of me that really believed the lion bed was growling! I guess this proves otherwise!
