My very first turkey.

Not sure why, but turkeys seems a little overwhelming.  I didn't plan on ever cooking one until I was a grandma, but I couldn't pass up the one Macy's was selling me for a dollar around Thanksgiving.
It has sat since then hogging up all the room in my freezer and waiting for me to get the courage to cook it, and I finally did.  And it wasn't that hard, but it WAS that good!

In case you care, I used this recipe and it was wonderful.  It had plenty of very flavorful juice left over for the gravy and to make soup with.

Ooh looks tasty! I always seem to forget that you can make a turkey even when it's not Thanksgiving. And turkey gravy sounds awfully good right now!

UMMMMM looks SO good! There is a Grandma makes turkey whenever she has a big crowd. Not that hard, and it feeds a ton of people! Good luck eating all that. Let us know if you need help with it :)
