swimming lessons

I decided at the last minute to put Chase in swimming lessons and I am so glad I did.  He loved every minute of it.

The picture above is Chase and another boy in the class trying to dunk their teacher.

And all three kids riding around on their teacher.  There were 2 teachers for their class and they were so good and put up with a lot to make it so much fun for those kids.  It was an introductory class so it was mostly getting them comfortable with the water and letting them have fun.

After the first couple days, they let them jump off the diving board.  Chase was a maniac and just loved jumping.  The first day all of the kids except Chase were lowered by their arms from a teacher standing on the board down to a teacher in the water.  Chase just walked right up there and leaped off.  On another day they were jumping at the same time as the 8 year old kids.  The 3 year olds were lining up at the smaller diving board while the older kids lined up at the taller diving board ( which was just a couple feet higher than the low dive).  Chase just got in line with the older kids and would jump off the bigger diving board while the rest of his class jumped off the lower on.  It was funny to watching him standing in line with kids twice his height.

On one other day it was just their class at the diving boards and once again while all the other kids went off the lower diving board Chase had the higher board to himself.  The rest of his class had to wait in line for their turn but Chase got to just keep jumping and jumping.

(his first time jumping in)

Getting ready...

He leaps off the board....

Gets ready for landing....

Did you notice the HUGE grin in every one of those pictures.   That's my little fish!
