Hide and Seek

Here mom- since you think we have fallen off the face of the Earth I will update my blog to show you otherwise.
I had one of those moments today.... you know where you lose something very important and your heart just drops right out of your body because you know if you don't find this thing very fast that something bad will happen... well today I lost Chase. This is quite a feat for those of you who know what our little tiny apartment looks like, but when I left the room he was playing on a blanket. After only a moment of putting some cloths a way I came back and glanced where he had been laying to make sure he wasn't getting into the cords and this is what I saw. No Chase. I quickly looked at all the usual spots that he sneaks off to. He likes the corners and under the piano where the cords are but after searching around he wasn't in any of these locations. This is when my heart fell to the bottom of my stomach. I couldn't even imagine where else he could have gotten to.
After a moment of pure panic, I spotted the suspect: THE BLANKET. It had been laid out flat , and was now in a bunch. Sure enough upon further investigation I saw a great big grin poking out at me.

I'm not sure if this was a game to him or if we somehow just twisted himself up, but he sure thought it was funny when I unwrapped him.Check out his other little hiding spot. At least this time I watching him crawl under there and so I knew where he was the whole time.

He played under there for 20 minutes before he finally realized he couldn't get back out and freaked out a little.
What a silly little sense of humor- I think he takes after his dad a little :)

Oh, there you are Chase. I thought that organic chemistry class was kicking your Mom's butt. I didn't realize the problem was she had lost you! I'm glad you are having so much fun with the cute little blanket it took me until you were six months old to finish. Porter used to like to play under the exersaucer, too so you're in good company.

SSOOOOOOO cute! It really is terrifying when you turn around for 2 seconds and they disappear! Side note...Brynn calls it Hide and Peeks...

I can't turn my head for very long without Lyndsee trying to hide from me too! Soon she will be walking and will run away! I can't believe how smart these little ones are!

What a cute little boy you have! He is too funny. That's funny, I think probably every baby that ever had an exersaucer did that same thing, got under and played and then flipped out when they couldn't get out.
