House Update....

It's not official yet, but we are so close.  To qualify for our loan we had to install the microwave and range BEFORE we close, so we did that last night.  Between Daniel having only two arms (when he could have used like 4 or 5) and me being largely pregnant, it took a little longer than we hoped but it's done.

This is how Chase helped.  He's sick, had no nap, and did NOT want to be out there.  He screamed pretty much the whole two hours we were out there.  He's going to hate our house when we finally get moved in!

But we got it all taken care of, looks good right?

I don't think our lives have been this crazy since Daniel and I were both in school and both working.  Between getting "proper documentation" for little nit picky things from the loan company, to signing papers and driving them up to Daniel's work for him to sign, to taking care of the inspection, getting small things in the house ready, showing our apartment to new renters (and trying to keep it clean enough for that), and then keeping up on my regular daily things like cleaning, cooking, and taking care of Chase, and then being pregnant.... I'm already tired and we havn't even starting cleaning or moving.

Last night I started the night off exhausted, and then get stuck sleeping with a sick and extremely squirmy 2 year old,  today I woke up to the phone ringing.  I wasn't supposed to have been asleep and I'm not sure how long I was out but Chase entertained himself in the meanwhile with:

some cheese

pulling a bunch of books off the bookcase,

and pulling all the C.D.'s out of Daniels C.D. case.

What?  You've never fallen asleep while watching kids?  Oooopps...    Can I blame this one on the pregnancy?

Oh Kimbrey! I can totally relate to your last comments! I find myself laying down, falling somewhat asleep, then realizing that the house if just too quiet...then I find Mckenna in some type of mess--either getting into the fridge (yes it's a new thing and we are not too happy about her new found abilities!) or wasting an entire roll of toilet paper or whatever it may be! I'm guilty of the same type of thing!!! Good Luck with the new house and with the next few weeks of being pregnant! You can do it! =)

I LOVE your kitchen! Did you end up getting a flat top stove? I'll bet you are so excited for this process to be over and to just be living in your new house!! Remember, "What we achieve too cheap, we esteem too lightly. 'Tis dearness only that gives everything it's value." All of this will make you appreciate your home so much more :)

Oh I'm so glad someone else has done it too. This last pregnancy kicked my butt and I found myself always falling asleep, my poor kids but it doesn't end, I'm still doing it from lack of sleep with a newborn. Good luck with the house and pregnancy! Your house looks beautiful by the way, post more pictures when you can.

I'm surprised that a microwave is a must in order to get your loan approved! Who knew?
And yes, I believe when you are growing another human being inside of you, you get to blame everything on it.
