Between conference sessions today we hiked to Ensign peak, something I have wanted to do since we moved here. It was a short hike, kinda steep, and extremely windy. This is Daniel with Chase hiding in a cove from the wind.

As I was reading the plaques at the top of Ensign peak I could hear something through the wind. As I started listening harder I thought I could hear Brigham Young or some great strong man from the past talking~WHAT? I had a reality check and realized this was no great man from the past but from the present. I was hearing conference on top of Ensign peak. I yelled to Daniel and explained the strange phenomenon that I was experiencing. We both started looking to understand where the noise was coming from and there behind the rock well was a couple laying in a sleeping bag with a radio listening to conference. Oh the things they must have thought of us thinking we could hear conference all the way up on top of the peak.

This is the view at night. We headed up there last night to check out the hike and whether or not we wanted to attempt it. The sound of the word "peak" had me a little uneasy about the hike.

Fun, what a good way to pass that time between conference! We missed you this weekend over here in the southern part of the state, I still think you need to move out this way!
That's a great title for this entry! We, too, hiked, but to falls, not peaks - kind of the opposite, but fun anyway. It looks like you had fun without us.
Hi! That looks like fun. I have always wanted to hike that as well.
Just so that you don't get mad at me (like your sister)...I have a blog and I have linked your blog. I have had it for a while, but it wasn't kept up real well. Now it is, so you can see it if you would like... ourjamesfamilyblog.blogspot.com
There, now don't yell at me. Do you have a facebook? That's where I found Michelle and her blog.
Chase's pictures are adorable! And, I do beleive that is the jacket we gave him! :) It looks so cute on him.
Have fun, love you!

Kimbrey, you guys are great to get out and hike so much! Good for you! Wouldn't that be cool if they had conference transmitted up to the peak!
Robert and I love Ensign Peak, that is where we met. :) We hiked there for our anniversary again last year. It looks beautiful!
